Meet the breeder

I'm Connie B., the breeder behind Brasher-Davis Dachshunds located in Pocahontas, AR. We provide our families with healthy, smart, loving, and outgoing puppies that will be cherished furever. Each family gets a welcome bag full of gifts & goodies, reading material, registration/certificates, and so much more to help with the transition and care of their new pet.

Q. & A. with Connie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I just lost my pet of 9 years in Sept. 2016. My kids bought me a female puppy a month later. Soon afterwards, I got a male puppy as a playmate. I wasn't planning to breed but it just happened that way. I kept a female out of their first litter and found out she wasn't interested in breeding so I had her fixed. Then early last year I retired one and bought a 3 yr old female. I also have another female that I will be breeding to my newest family member Kirby.
  • What makes your program special?

I offer so much in caring for the puppies and teaching them to use the potty pads or go outside, teaching them basic tricks, not confining them much, many nights of snuggling and getting loves, playing with them all of the time, taking tons of videos and pictures of them as they grow printing off the best ones in a small photo album for the family along with one in a pet picture frame. I strive to make it my mission to gather up all important documents, information, certificates, registry, microchip info, as I do microchip them at 8 wks, pedigree bg, embark results, proof of champion bloodline, trick tips, and so much more put into booklets for later reading. I include a dachshund tote bag full of treats/food, blanket, bath towel, pictures, toys, and this litter I even bought a sweater for the colder days & nights we are having. Each one where's a collar too. I hope I didn't forget anything! Let's just say I take a lot of time and pride raising my litters. I do a lot of research for the best family to get one of my puppies.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
