Brenda S.

Breeder of Doberman Pinschers

Meet the breeder

I'm Brenda S., the breeder behind Brenda Snider located in Bay City, MI. Our dogs are bred for agility, conformation, health and breed standards. We want to provide our new families with healthy puppies that have been tested and certified to provide you with an assurance that you will own a puppy that will grow up and live along with healthy life.

Q. & A. with Brenda

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first Doberman was purchased from a breeder. I was young and naive and this breeder turned out to be irresponsible and back yard breeding. This riddled my puppy from the start with bad health issues. She had wobblers at 2 years old and it paralyzed her back legs by the time she turned 4 years old. I was devastated and heartbroken. From then on I vowed to breed bad genetics out of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We will have both the sire and dam fully tested with every test available. I only breed certified healthy dams and sires with all negative tests for genetics for Vanwildebrand, Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Wobblers Disease, hips, eyes, and to omit the white factor color gene.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
