Kathy G.

Breeder of Carolina Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Kathy G., the breeder behind Carolina Dogs Of The Forgotten Coast located in Crawfordville, FL. Star had her puppies on November 1, 2024. I have one female puppy available, and is ready for a new family. Star has clear OFA hips, elbows and eyes, and both parents are DNA breed and health tested. We are located in the Tallahassee, FL area.

Q. & A. with Kathy

  • Why did you start breeding?

My male Carolina Dog, Tanka, comes from the original bloodlines. He sired a litter of 8 puppies in 2021, all which turned out to be very good quality puppies. I kept Star from that litter, and she turned out to be a nice standard of the breed. There are very few good quality litters being produced in this breed, and it's important that we have carefully planned litters to preserve them.
  • What makes your program special?

My puppies will be part of my family until they are ready for their new homes. They will be nurtured using the Puppy Culture methods of training and socialization so they can easily adapt to their new families. I will be closely monitoring their activity levels and personalities to match them to the best possible lifestyle of the home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are tawny. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
