Meet the breeder

I'm Deb W., the breeder behind Crossroads Canines ~ Brussels Griffon and Newfoundland Dogs located in Saukville, WI. All puppies are in-home raised, with plenty of love, attention and care including incorporating AKC Confident Puppy and Puppy Culture protocols. I am a responsible breeder working to raise puppies who will grow into confident, stable, and resilient adult dogs.

Q. & A. with Deb

  • Why did you start breeding?

As an enthusiastic animal lover and lifelong Newfoundland Dog aficionado, Deb expanded her expertise in 2013 by becoming an ethical and responsible breeder of Newfoundland Dogs. Her work is rooted in scientifically supported positive reinforcement methods, which focus on rewarding desired behaviors with treats, praise, and play. This approach not only helps dogs learn but also strengthens the bond between trainer and pet.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in-home, utilizing Puppy Culture and AKC Confident Puppy protocols with care, love and appropriate socialization. We send mentally and structurally sound puppies and as a breeder provide the commitment to lifelong support and resources.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Brussels Griffon puppies include red, black and tan, and belge. Newfoundland puppies include white and black, black, brown, and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
