Meet the breeder

I'm Angel H., the breeder behind Danza Bolo located in Martin, TN. We breed a few litters of puppies each year. Older puppies and adult dogs occasionally available. Our dogs live in our home and the puppies are born in my bedroom and raised ‘underfoot.’.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was born into a dog breeding and showing family. After spending years showing dogs in conformation and obedience, I decided to retire and breed high-quality pet and working bloodline Yorkies. This passion has expanded to include ESA/SD bloodline yorkipoos and other companion breeds, including a larger yorkipoo with a poodle coat (Yorkidoodle) and smaller Doodles.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our parents are genetically tested and OFA cleared for inheritable disorders. We only breed dogs who are good examples of the breed, are trainable and have stable temperaments. Our Yorkipoo, Maltipoo, and Morkie (American Morkshire Terrier) puppies are Multi-Generation. Our Yorkidoodle and American Retriever puppies are Multi-Generation.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Morkie puppies include black, chocolate, piebald, black & tan tri-color, blue and gold, black and gold, and black and tan. Yorkshire Terrier puppies include parti and blue and gold. Yorkipoo puppies include tri-color, parti, tan, red, gray, silver, chocolate, blue and gold, blue and tan, black, black and gold, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), L-2-Hydroxyglutaric Aciduria (L2HGA), Yorkshire Terrier Type, Chondrodystrophy (CDDY and IVDD Risk) with or without Chondrodysplasia (CDPA), Dilated Cardiomyopathy 1 (DCM1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Dominant Black DNA Test, DNA Profile, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, Agouti DNA Test, D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Wisdom Panel, Full Embark Panel, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
