Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

We love the Boxer breed. Our dogs have brought us so much joy and happiness that we wanted to give back to them by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them a wonderful life with wonderful families.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. We devote our time, energy, and efforts to each litter to ensure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born and prepared to excel in their forever homes.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Amanda with Diamond Lane Boxers was great to work with. She was easy to communicate with through the Good Dog app, answered all questions in advance of meeting and shared photos via Facebook for us to see our girl, Winnie in action. We love our new girl and she is beautiful, healthy and filled with personality! Highly recommend working with Amanda if you are interested in healthy, beautiful Boxers.

Amanda was responsive and answered all my questions. She was interested in my experience with the boxer breed, dog behavior, and training. Placement is a two-way street and it was important to me that we both felt our home was a perfect match for one of Amanda’s puppies. Nash is perfect in every way and we couldn’t be happier!
