Meet the breeder

I'm M. Jordan A., the breeder behind Double Moon located in Cleveland, OH. We offer family-raised pups, good with kids, cats, disabled/autistic folks, and sometimes chickens. Our foundational dam & sire are working service dogs. We're dedicated to providing our buyers with full support and our puppies with the best possible start in life.

Q. & A. with M. Jordan

  • Why did you start breeding?

Years ago, I trained a rescue to be a service dog for a family member... but by four, he was too sickly to keep working. I swore the next service dog I trained would be health-tested and long-lived. I also wanted to pass my own medical alert dog's unique abilities to future generations.
  • What makes your program special?

What I say my pups grow up in a my house, I mean it! They have 24/7 human availability, and by week 5 many of them are choosing to sleep in bed with me instead of in their whelping box. We litter box train the pups so they're used to houses from the get-go. :) These little guys have new daily lessons, ranging from "don't be scared of the vaccuum" to "how to say hi to a cat".
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, and blue merle. Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, black, and blue merle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, red merle, and red tri. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, blue merle, red tri, red merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

My experience and interaction with M. Jordan made me feel confident and comfortable with getting one of their puppies. They were responsive in a timely manner, very knowledgeable, kind, and answered every question I had about their dogs and the breed! They helped in picking the right puppy for me and my needs! I know that if I have any questions moving forward that they are their to help me if they can! I would recommend them and their puppies to anyone who is looking for this breed! I am beyond happy with my puppy, Greta, now called Myla. She fits perfectly into our family, and has become my best friend. I am excited for our journey together. She is smart, a good temperament, and just an all around sweet girl. We are working on training her to be my ESA! I am so happy with my puppy and cant wait to see the dog she becomes! 💖

We had a great experience and highly recommend Jordan. We saw Berlin (our new puppy) and contacted Jordan, who responded right away and answered all of our questions. Luckily, Jordan lives close by so she was able to bring Berlin over to meet our family. It is obvious that Jordan really cares about the puppies and does everything she can to make the transition easier for them. Berlin has settled right in as part of our family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a breeder. Thanks so much!

Working with Double Moon was AMAZING! I grew up around rescue dogs and my fiancé has never had a dog before. We decided to add a new addition to our family and came across Double Moon. Whenever we had a question or needed clarification on something she helped us out (since it is our first dog we were super nervous on what to do/ look for). We have had Zoey now for 7 weeks and she is very spoiled, SUPER smart, beautiful with her expressive ears, LOVES the beach/pool (she has a life vest on) and has been a sweetheart to every person/animal she has come near. Thank you Double Moon!

My experience with Double Moon was amazing to say the least. I'm going to be 18 in March (yay an adult) I have many invisible disabilities so I've been researching about service dogs and getting a puppy and the right breed. I have always loved Aussies, my uncle has one and one of my friends dad has an Miniature American Shepherd as a therapy dog. I chose M. Jordan because of both the dam and sire being service dogs and how knowledgeable she was and gave me information which I didn't even know. She helped me learn more about the breed and was with me every step when picking out my service dog prospect, I have my amazing pup currently who was (Gotham) renamed Tiramisu. I've had dogs in the past but she has been the easiest to train so far and I hope we continue to improve together.

I couldn't have chose a better breeder to my two boys from. She was calm, patient, responsive, informative, and everything else you could possibly want out of someone giving you a forever friend. I can't thank her enough for helping me choose the additions to my growing family.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience with Double Moon! I recently got my Miniature American Shepard (HELO) from Double Moon and Jordan, and I couldn't be happier with the entire process! From the first point of contact, she was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the Miniature American Shepard (Mini Australian). Jordan took the time to answer all of my questions, providing me with detailed information on the breed, the parents, and the puppies' upbringing. It was clear that Jordan prioritizes the health and well-being of the dogs above all else. The puppies were socialized and happy, and you could tell they had been raised with love and attention. What stood out most was Jordan's transparency and commitment to responsible breeding. The health screenings and certifications were provided, and she made sure the puppy came with a clean bill of health. I was also given plenty of guidance on how to care for my new puppy, and has been available for any follow-up questions I've had since bringing Helo home. I highly recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a well-bred, healthy, and happy puppy. It’s clear that [she takes immense pride in what they do, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my new furry family member! Thank you, Double Moon!
