I'm Ella M., the breeder behind Golden Borealis located in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are bettering the breed by making the best of the breed. The goal we set and which we believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with a Golden Retriever.
Q. & A. with Ella
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding when I realized what I wanted in a dog, no one else could create. I breed for the ultimate ramp up and ramp down dog. I want a dog that can haul around the agility arena, and come home and play trucks with my son. My Golden's not only possess the power and drive needed for a day of hard work but also the compassion and composure they are known for.
What makes your program special?
We like to think of ourselves as breed enthusiasts. We are so enthused about the breed that we want to contribute to the betterment of it. We are so obsessed with them that we want to help create outstanding examples of the breed standard. We focus on breed personality characteristics, breed traits, predictability in adulthood, long term preventative health care, and known breed genetic issues.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I cannot say enough about how well the breeder did. I owned my own dog training business and breed German Shepherds. In addition a member of the ADPT. I take this seriously and when I say they did an amazing job picking the puppy I wanted. They listened to me, and did everything possible to give the puppy training to make him well adjusted when I brought him home. 5 STARS ***** in my book.
