I'm Pamela J., the breeder behind Jenkins Welsh Terriers located in Henryetta, OK. I offer quality AKC Welsh Terrier puppies that are raised in my home. My dogs are my passion and I take great pride in my program! We offer AKC Welsh Terriers raised in our home. Living on our ranch, they are exposed to other animals including dogs, cats, chickens, llamas, and cattle. They are fully vaccinated by my veterinarian, microchipped, and started on basic manners. Their sire is an AKC Champion.
Q. & A. with Pamela
Why did you start breeding?
I worked with a mentor who bred and showed Giant Schnauzers for many years. I managed her kennel while she traveled to shows. I enjoyed working with the litters she raised and learning to groom the terrier breeds.
What makes your program special?
The puppies are raised in my home and exposed to other animals daily. My grandchildren play with and help socialize them. I start them on basic manners and grooming while they are young.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
