I'm Trish B., the breeder behind Larkspur Collies located in Rio Rnacho, NM. I have been breeding Collies for 40 years. I produce pups that will excel in their chosen field with their forever families. Our dogs are bred to conform to the breed standard for Collies with an emphasis on good health and temperament. We strive for 100% satisfaction and prepare our dogs to excel in the show ring and as the best family dog.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always had a lifelong interest in Collies. I strive to produce Collies that are as close to the breed standard as I can possibly get and improve the overall Collie health and temperament with each generation.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues AND have the ability to be wonderful family companions. We are very dedicated to what we do and what we are trying to achieve as breeders. We work with passion, heart, and integrity, and we truly want what's best for the Collie line.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
