Meet the breeder

I'm Lori I., the breeder behind LaRose Farm & Kennels located in Madisonville, TN. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Q. & A. with Lori

  • Why did you start breeding?

We Bred standard Australian Shepherds. We do have a retired Akc standard Australian shepherd who's 11 he's got to life home here with us and is also my PTSD dog. We have 4 Toy Australian Shepherds and 7 Miniature Dachshunds. We try to stay small so our babies get the best care and attention. We do have kennels but we rotate dogs in house for few days at time so they all get there time with us.
  • What makes your program special?

We are small and take pride in our few litters. All puppies get 2x vaccines before leaving, wormed every 2 weeks, microchipped, registered, vet checkup. Puppies planned out so each litter gets full time in house other than pretty days that they can go in pup kennel for a little play time.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

My whole experience with LaRose Farm & Kennels and Lora, was the best from start to end. Our new fur baby is the best addition to our family. She is settling in just great!

This process was extremely easy and I really liked that I could do a payment plan. Lori was very responsive and it was super easy to go pick the puppy up. I love him already and am so happy I made the choice to get him! It seems that he was socialized very well because he loves people and walks around super confidently.

Lori was great. She sent me updated pics on my Rocky. She was very nice and funny when we met. She sent him to me with a blanket he’s used since we got him.

Lori was AMAZING! She was so helpful and responded within a reasonable time. She kept me updated on my puppy throughout the whole process. When it came time to pick him up she was nice enough to meet me halfway. I am very grateful for that. The puppy has been nothing but sweet and happy and so playful! Already learning new tricks!
