I'm Ryan C., the breeder behind Merakxel Kennels located in Mesa, AZ. Merakxel dogs are bred for stability in both health, conformation, temperament, and workability. When a Merakxel dog joins your home, so does a lifetime of support. Rottweilers and Labrador Retrievers are some of the most versatile breeds in existence. Many breeders have lost this aspect in their program, but it holds true here.

Why did you start breeding?
In 2009, a small, brown, bustling little critter launched into my life and changed everything. This was my introduction to purebred dogs and the rest is history.What makes your program special?
Every puppy and dog that comes into my home takes a piece of me with them when they leave. My passion is my dogs and my heart and soul lie in this program. My hope is that that is evident with each puppy.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Ryan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Deposits are not asked for or taken until a litter is confirmed. I keep a contact list for prospective Merakxel puppy owners, and keep everyone up to date as litters are planned.”

About Sadie
Rami is a goofy, silly girl, who is IMMENSELY affectionate. Rami play and retrieve as much as you want, and is just as content to sit with you, while you rub her ears. But only while she's holding her ball. And she'd really rather you throw it, give her love, and then throw the ball again!! She's a lovely retriever, and loves nothing more than holding onto a ball, toy, or anything, pretty much every moment when she's awake. Even during her ultrasound for her last litter she held her ball the entire time.

Exclusively owner-handled to his AKC conformation championship, Aero is the dog who can win in one ring, and jump into the next, winning there, too. At the Flagstaff Kennel Club Dog Show in 2018, Aero won not only Best of Breed, but took home a very competitive Working Group 3, AND went into the obedience ring and took home High in Trial from the Novice class. Most importantly, Aero is an incredible companion. He is always ready for a new job, and goes at training with gusto, and a giant smile. Some of Aero's most notable accomplishments and titles: * Competed on Season 3 of America's Top Dog on A&E! - look for the Rottweiler in the superhero cape * High in Trial & High Obedience for his IGP1 * BOSS - Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty Show * GCH - AKC Grand Champion * THDD - Therapy Dog Distinguished (Aero has logged over 500 therapy visits! * THE FIRST Rottweiler used in Petsmart's advertising - he did his first print ads at just 9 weeks old * With less than 6 months of training in PSA, in August of 2021, Aero hit the PSA field for the first time, and earned his PSA PDC-SD!

About Freddie
Freddie is my best couch buddy, and a phenomenal demo dog with clients. I am a dog trainer, and utilize Freddie the most with client dogs. He has a LOVELY on/off switch, and can go from launching off the dock, to relaxing calmly with young children. He's a blast to work and play with, and is truly an "easy" dog. He's game for whatever you want to do, whether its playing with a flirt pole, swimming, or chilling on the couch. He's been a lovely demo dog with cooperative care seminars and teachings, and is the epitome of a stable, balanced Labrador.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
