Q. & A. with LEANNE
Why did you start breeding?
My children wanted to have dogs that they could do obedience in 4H with. Remembering my first Sheltie, I bought them a Sheltie. We went to several Obedience matches there is where I found Conformation. It looked like something I could do. I attended many seminars about breeding and the structure of the Sheltie and I was determined to produce the best Sheltie I could, and I still am determined.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is founded on the love of this breed. I want to see it continue to be the small, intelligent, and healthy herding dog it was designed to be.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle and white, sable and white, black and white, blue merle white and tan, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
