I'm Chris B., the breeder behind North Idaho Aussies located in Saint Maries, ID. Focus of our breeding is temperament, intelligence, and beauty. Our dogs are all FAMILY! Our dogs are breed for temperament, intelligence, and beauty. One of my favorite traits of the Australian Shepherd is their intellect. I love training my dogs. They are always egger to learn a new trick. Each puppy will begin potty training as well as some basic commands before entering their forever home.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with Australian Shepherds as a very young child. This has always been a passion of mine.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are socialized the from day one. Our daughters work with each of our puppies. You can rest assured your puppy will be coming home well rounded and able to adjust. Your puppy will also come home with some basic commands as well as the beginning of potty training.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA), Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
