Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a country setting / farm , so I have always been around animals, and enjoy seeing the process of a new life entering the world .What makes your program special?
We are a smalltime breeder , about one litter a year . Our puppies get plenty of attention , and care . Puppies are raised in a family atmosphere .What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, white, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Bella is a female Portuguese Water Dog. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, James decided to make her part of their program. James has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I was so glad that good dog put me in contact with James at Pine Ridge PortIes. I now have a beautiful addition to my family.
