I'm Ann E., the breeder behind Rockhill Australian Shepherds located in Lebanon, OR. We are located in Lebanon, Oregon and live on 5 acres built for our dogs. We breed to ASCA and AKC standards and produce dogs that are capable in obedience, agility, working, conformation, therapy work, as well as dogs that are great family pets.
Q. & A. with Ann
Why did you start breeding?
After my second Belgian Tervuren died, we realized how empty life was without a dog on our heels following us around everywhere we went. So we set out to find another companion. We decided on the Aussie!
What makes your program special?
We breed to ASCA and AKC standards and produce dogs that are capable in all venues: obedience, agility, working, conformation, herding, therapy work, as well as dogs that are great family pets. We do all the genetic testing and breed only clear dogs and we do Puppy Culture and a lot of desensitization of our puppies to make them bomb-proof.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
