I'm Savannah P., the breeder behind Ruffles, Ridges, & Spots! located in Joplin, MO. With a focus on health, temperament, and structure, I am is dedicated to producing well-rounded dogs that thrive as cherished companions & excel in the show ring. Through my program, I'm not just raising dogs—I strive to create a community of love & support for every puppy & their family.

Q. & A. with Savannah

  • Why did you start breeding?

My passion for dog sports and conformation showing truly began with Jasper, who didn’t start showing until he was almost two, pushing me to step out of my comfort zone. Soon after, we added the energetic and loving Dalmatians to our pack, and life has been pure heaven ever since. I was not raised around breeding dogs but have learned along the way and fall more and more in love each time!
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is built on transparency, honesty, & relationships. I share the entire journey—the wins, losses, highs, & lows. Staying in touch with my puppy families is a top priority. My amazing Facebook group helps families connect, share updates, & watch littermates grow nationwide. It’s not just about placing puppies—it’s about lifelong bonds & supporting my puppies & their people every step of the way.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Dalmatian puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Poodle puppies include parti and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Great level

Ruffles, Ridges, & Spots! reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Dalmatians.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I never imagined that looking for a Dalmatian would lead me to not only finding the perfect furry family member, but also a truly wonderful friend. This breeder isn’t just about raising beautiful, healthy Dalmatians—she pours her heart into every puppy and every new family. Now I not only have an amazing Dalmatian, but also a dear friend who’s been there every step of the way. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking to add a Dalmatian or TWO or maybe THREE to their lives.

I have always wanted a Dalmatian for as long as I can remember. I was searching on good dog and just hadn’t found the right fit. Then I found Savannah, from the moment we first connected I felt at ease. Savannah has great knowledge of the breed and really loves on her flock. I visited her in person and everything was clean and you could tell the puppies adored her. She kept me updated on everything and explained temperament of each pup to help me make the best decision to fit in with our family. In the end, I chose sweet Pearl now, Lola Pearl and she is absolutely perfect. She is playful and cuddly and is exactly what we wanted. Savannah even checked on her the next day and day after we brought her home. Not only did I find a fantastic breeder. I am now part of the ruffles ridges and spots family, and couldn’t be happier. Savannah is the real deal if you want a dog that is truly loved and cared for and bread properly look no farther than ruffles ridges and spots.

After our tragic loss of our first Dal baby in January 2025, we were lucky enough to find Savannah. In February 2025, we brought home our baby,CJ. He’s perfect and has such good temperament. Then come a few shorts month later and we laid our eyes on Zoey. CJ’s half sister and a liver. We fell in love and now have 2 Dalmatians in our home. Savannah is amazing and I’m so thankful I found her in January!
