I'm Joy H., the breeder behind Shadow Veil Dane’s located in Orange Grove, TX. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy! We start to train each puppy and get them use to what they shouldn’t be doing.

Why did you start breeding?
I feel in love with a 12 week old puppy that we rescued off the streets in my town. I found out he was a Great Dane. I bought my first breeding girl almost four years ago from a wonderful breeder and has been there for me through the years.What makes your program special?
I love the breed and want to have all my puppies with great temperament and structure. Every puppy is unique in their own way.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue and white, blue brindle, and harlequin. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Joy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price include AKC registration limited. Their first set of shots, declaw are usually removed and dewormed at 2, 4, and 8 weeks old. The deposit is non-refundable.”

Joy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

We are having so much fun with Donkey. He’s almost potty trained and growing very fast. He is also enjoying exploring our property. He climbed a huge hill of dirt behind one of our buildings the other day. He was so happy that he got to the top.
