I'm Jamie C., the breeder behind Texas Blue Danes located in Alvarado, TX. Our focus is on breeding AKC Standard, healthy & happy puppies that bring as much love to their families as our dogs do for us. We are hands-on with our puppies & give plenty of unconditional love & attention! The puppies are raised indoors in their personal puppy room.

Why did you start breeding?
When my ex and I broke up, he wanted a puppy. I agreed to breed our couple of Danes. As I was raising the litter, I was a natural. Then I remembered I raise Catahoula Curs with my dad growing up and I raised Bassett Hounds in high school. I decided I would raise Great Dane to share with the world because they are such AWESOME family dogs.What makes your program special?
I feel my program is special because of the love and attention I give my dogs (children). They received homemade cooking twice a day. They live inside the house with their own couch or bed. Have 1/2 acre front and 1/2 acre back yard for exercise and play. With puppies it is the "attention to detail", "care package", and "lifetime support" I provide my clients when they purchase a puppy from me.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, blue, harlequin, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jamie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $2,400 - $2,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Fawnequin - Ida Mae is a very special girl. She was born as Hurricane Ida was making landfall in Louisiana then into Mississippi. I literally was tallking on my electronic device with family in LA and MS when Ida Mae was born. We were excited to get our first fawnequin female (always males in the past). My sisters insisted I name her Ida and KEEP HER!!! Thought I was going to spend the day delivering a litter and keeping tabs on my family. Annie (her mom) had a different plan. Ida Mae was a litter of "1". She was just special from the moment she arrived and still very special. She not only has beautiful coloring, she has a beautiful, loving, caring personality. She has had one litter with much success and beautiful puppies. We are supper excited about her upcoming litter.

CJ is my "heart" dog. I put a deposit down for her 2 years before she was born. I had female pick of the litter. Couldn't have picked a better puppy. She had 1 litter then spayed to be my service dog. 5 of her 9 puppies were to sent to families to be service dogs. To carry on this bloodline, I have used her brother for several litters. I am also using her son that lives locally as a stud.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
