I'm Sarah L., the breeder behind Toley's at Montara located in Acton, CA. Personality is always important, but health is our top priority.
Extensive health testing for French bulldogs and very limited litters.
All GPs are working and raised around chickens, ducks, goats, horses and other dogs.
We are also focused on rehabilitation for both breeds, and neonatal clefts.
Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
We have been breeding French Bulldog puppies since 2014. It all started with our first French Bulldog named Toby. We fell in love with this breed and we decided to dedicate our lives to being a dedicated and responsible French Bulldog breeder.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are bred for health and conformation. All of our sires and dams have a series of health tests done to ensure each litter is as healthy as possible. We are responsible breeders who are dedicated to promoting healthy and clean French Bulldog bloodlines. We will never breed a litter if we believe that breeding could result in an unhealthy litter.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Toley's at Montara reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for French Bulldogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Spine (OFA, FCI)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
