True Shot Chihuahuas

Andrea C.

Breeder of Chihuahuas

Meet the breeder

I'm Andrea C., the breeder behind True Shot Chihuahuas located in Illinois. My goal is to improve on my breeding stock and continue the work I have done so far in achieving a genetically healthy, physically sound animal with correct breed type and temperament for generations to come.

Q. & A. with Andrea

  • Why did you start breeding?

had owned large breed dogs my entire life, however, a little over a decade ago, I found myself in the company of two very special Chihuahuas, Bullet and TeeTee, who came to me from a local friend. Much to my surprise, not only did they steal my heart from day one, but they also stole my home! I found them headstrong, rough, tough, independent, loyal, protective, goofy, and wonderful! I started finding out more and more about the AKC breed standard, the health issues, genetic defects, etc. and realized I'd like to get involved with improving the breed and educating as many people as possible about the Chihuahua breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We believe in raising our dogs in a family environment, as much involved with our family as any well loved pet would be with yours.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
