I'm Mark B., the breeder behind Valley of the Sun Golden Retrievers located in Phoenix, AZ. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. Our puppies become integral members of our family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families. We do lots of imprinting with the pups. They are exposed to kids, large dogs, the vacuum, playing in the yard, going through the play tunnels, going down a baby slide, playing in the water, getting nails trimmed, playing with the puppies feet, giving them lots of belly rubs so they trust being on their backs. We do everything with a purpose to provide a well rounded and adjusted puppy.
Q. & A. with Mark
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised in a family that bred dogs, so it was second nature. After raising our very busy kids, we had more time in our schedule to focus on breeding.
What makes your program special?
We work hard to give each puppy the attention they deserve. We are not a puppy mill. The puppies get a lot of individual attention and lots of love. Goldens are very special animals with amazing natural therapy dog qualities. It will always be a priority to match a sire with those characteristics to pass along. Whether you want to show your pup, have it as your pet or become a therapy dog, it is our goal to provide you with a well rounded pup that is ready for whatever.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
