Meet the breeder

I'm Jessica o., the breeder behind Valour's Giants located in Sedalia, MO. We work hard to bring you the best quality puppies with wonderfully sound temperaments and beautifully healthy genetics. We raise magnificent, healthy family pets, with a friendship that lasts forever. We focus on health, conformation, intelligence, and drive, even if it means finding the perfect pair from around the world to bring that vision to life. They are a part of our family and our hearts.

Q. & A. with Jessica

  • Why did you start breeding?

Meeting this breed was the best thing to ever happen to me. My very first Giant left the biggest impression on my life and my heart. After she passed, that's when I just knew this was my breed for life. It's a personal passion and hobby of mine to help spread love and joy through breeding Giant Schnauzers.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breedings don't happen often, but when they do, my whole heart is in it. We raise them as a family, putting all our love into every single one, making sure they are set for a full, healthy, and loving life, in all their confidence and intelligence.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Great level

Valour's Giants reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Giant Schnauzers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Dilated Cardiomyopathy 1 (DCM1)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Hi Jessica, just following up to update you on how Lynx is doing. We’re on week 3 of puppy training and he’s doing excellent! He’s got a lot of energy, but we’ve been making sure he’s getting his naps in. He’s a goofy, silly rambunctious sweetheart.
