I'm Kelli B., the breeder behind Vom Anfang German Shepherds located in Mansfield, TX. At Vom Anfang, our goal is to produce working dogs with stable temperament and sound body that will also be a part of your family.

Why did you start breeding?
After owning some German Shepherds from a backyard breeder and dealing with temperamental flaws and health issues, we looked into our first working line German Shepherd. It was through a ton of research, surrounding ourselves with others who loved the breed and diving headfirst into the world of training a working dog that led us to breed.
What makes your program special?
Our goal and hope are to produce puppies with exceptional temperaments, suitable for a variety of work. We like to emphasize versatility in our puppies, where they are social and engaging, eager to work without being over the top, capable of settling into a family setting where undoubtedly first and foremost their most important purpose is to be a stable family companion.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kelli

Kelli has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the Guarantee, AKC Registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming and puppy socialization. Deposits are non refundable but can be rolled to a future litter if a suitable puppy is not available. We do not accept deposits until puppies are born.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kelli may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
