I'm Tabitha C., the breeder behind Wayward Home Dachshunds located in Harrodsburg, KY. We are committed to always responsibly breeding with the best interest of our puppies’ health and longevity at the forefront. Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I've been breeding parrots for several years, and absolutely fell in love with Dachshunds when I bought one to be my travel companion when I vend expos. Now I get to enjoy a whole house full of little precious hotdogs!What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Tabitha
Tabitha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $200 deposit and between $800 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All pups are AKC registered, wormed on schedule with Nemex-2, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped before they go home. Deposits are not refundable, but can be transferred to a different puppy if desired.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
