I'm Yahaira T., the breeder behind Yahaira's Shih Tzus located in Providence, RI. We proudly raise Shih Tzu puppies with a strong focus on health, temperament, conformation, and intelligence. Our puppies are home-raised, well-socialized, affectionate, and confident. We are dedicated to providing families with healthy, happy puppies that grow into loving lifelong companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I became a breeder because of my deep love for Shih Tzus and the joy they bring to families. I wanted to raise puppies the right way—in a home, with love, patience, and intention. Seeing my dogs grow, thrive, and become cherished companions is what motivates me. My goal is to provide healthy, well-raised puppies and match them with families who will love them as much as I do.What makes your program special?
What makes my breeding program special is the love, time, and care that go into every litter. My dogs are raised in my home, not kennels, and are part of my family. I focus on health, temperament, and structure, and I spend time getting to know each puppy’s personality so I can help place them with the right family and ensure a smooth transition into their new home.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tricolor, black and white, and brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Yahaira
Yahaira has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $2,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

She’s very nurturing and attentive, which plays a huge role in how well the puppies are cared for and socialized. Isa also has a playful side and enjoys cuddling and bonding. She is well cared for and has up-to-date health records, giving families peace of mind that the puppies come from a healthy, responsibly cared-for mom.

He is the dad of the puppies and has an amazing temperament. He’s calm, gentle, and very loving, with a sweet personality that truly shows in his puppies. He loves to cuddle, gives lots of affection, and is great with people. He’s also playful and happy, making him the perfect mix of laid-back and fun. He comes from a champion bloodline, which reflects his excellent structure, temperament, and overall quality.
