I'm Amy & David K., the breeder behind Dust Ridge Kennels located in Alturas, CA. Our dogs are bred with a focus on health, temperament, conformation, and intelligence. We are committed to providing families with exceptional, healthy pets that will thrive in a loving home.

Why did you start breeding?
Between 2010 and 2015, Amy ventured into breeding English Bulldogs, a breed that holds a special place in her heart. However, the significant vet bills associated with the breed led her to seek new adventures. Recently, our family has fallen head over heels for Toy and Mini Aussies. Their playful spirit and those adorable wiggle butts have captured our hearts in a whole new way!What makes your program special?
Our pups are raised in our home, surrounded by kids, cats, and dogs. Ensuring they are well-socialized from an early age. Each pup is treated as a member of our family before they find their forever homes.So when you bring one of our pup into your home, you can be confident that you’re welcoming a loving, well-adjusted member of the family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black tri, blue merle, and blue tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Amy & David
Amy & David has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $6,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee
Amy & David may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
