Meet the breeder

I'm Stephanie F., the breeder behind Elagant Acres located in Owenton, KY. We do train Service dogs, therapy dogs and emotional support dogs. We are now training diabetic alert dogs. Some of our gifted puppies will be start our program at 8 weeks. Our puppies come from a long line of great working dogs. Most of our dogs work as service animals, on Search and Rescue teams or police dogs. Our puppies are home-raised. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices. We are willing to drive and meet for an additional fee.

Q. & A. with Stephanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started working with a breeder who bred dogs for therapy and service work. I enjoyed seeing the people who needed a service dog or the kids who were able to over come emotional trauma with the help of a dog. So I decided to start breeding to help people who needed a special dog.
  • What makes your program special?

I test all my adults with Embark and get hip, elbows, heart and eyes checked. I do not breed for looks I breed for temperament so I can continue to get a special puppies out of my girls.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are black and white. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies are tri-color. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Stephanie from Elagant Acres made my journey of finding our new Fur Baby fast and easy. I received a video shortly after choosing the puppy and sending the deposit. I fell in love with him immediately, and within 48 hours we were on our way to pick him up. Stephanie had our new puppy watched and ready for our journey back home. Thank you so much for all your help and for putting joy back into our hearts.

We were looking for a dog for my son. But with the increasing scams out there you didnt know who to trust online. And Mini goldendoodles in our area are anywhere between 2400.00 and 3600.00. Now I think that is ridiculous and I'm not pay that. So I knew I was going to have to go outside my area. Some person tried to scam me once while looking then I found Good Dog. Stephanie is awsome. She answered all my questions and FaceTime with us and Wesker. Now I live in NC and Stephanie lives in Kentucky. It was about 6.5 hrs one way. Now I don't mind to drive and pick up our furry family member but that was a little far. But Stephanie agreed to meet me halfway. Not many people will do that. She also stopped and got me a bag of food he was eating cause I could not find it here. Stephanie is very knowledgeable and you could tell her dogs are family NOT just for breeding. I highly recommend Stephanie and Good Dog
