I'm Lorra M., the breeder behind Isengard located in Washington. We raise our litters in our home exposing them to different surfaces, sounds and sights. Puppies are temperament tested to help match them to appropriate homes. I breed working line dogs which need a job. They do best in homes where the owner wishes to compete with their dog in a sport. Dogs I've bred have titles in French and Mondio Ring, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Scentwork and Dock Diving.
Q. & A. with Lorra
Why did you start breeding?
I read every book in the library about dogs from 4th grade on. At 16 my parents decided I wouldn't out grow it and I brought home my first show dog, a Doberman. She won HIT's in Obedience but could not be bred. I loved raising puppies and genetics. With a lot of research I planned my first litter and it produce 3 Champions and obedience titled dogs.
What makes your program special?
I breed working line Belgian Sheepdogs. These dogs are bred to work and have the drive to compete in Mondio and other bite-sports as well as scent detection, agility and other venues. Owners need to be experienced with, and desiring, a stable, athletic dog with the drive that pushes their owner for a job to do.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
