I'm Garrett W., the breeder behind Virgil Farms located in Decatur, TX. A miniature schnauzer puppy is a small, sturdy, and lively dog breed that is known for its distinctive appearance and charming personality. Our puppies typically weigh between 8 and 12 pounds and stand approximately 10 to 14 inches tall at the shoulder.
The miniature schnauzer is a robust and muscular breed with a square-shaped head and bushy eyebrows and beard. Their ears are small and fold forward, and their tails are usually docked.
Miniature schnauzer puppies are energetic and playful, with a curious and outgoing nature. They are intelligent and easy to train, making them popular as both family pets and working dogs. They are loyal and protective of their owners, and they often form strong bonds with children.
Overall, miniature schnauzer puppies are adorable, affectionate, and full of personality. They make great companions for those who are looking for a small, active dog with a big heart.
Q. & A. with Garrett
What makes your program special?
A successful breeding program requires a lot of dedication, knowledge, and skill. One of the key factors that makes our breeding program special is a focus on producing healthy, well-tempered puppies that conform to the breed standard. This involves careful selection of breeding stock based on health and temperament testing.
In addition to producing healthy and well-tempered puppies, our successful breeding program also has a focus on improving the breed in a few ways. Our goal is producing miniature schnauzers with superior coat color, size, and working to eliminate certain genetic diseases from the breed.
We have a commitment to providing ongoing support and education to puppy buyers, providing resources and guidance on topics such as nutrition, and healthcare, as well as being available to answer questions and provide support throughout the life of the dog.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti, liver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We picked up Ranger from Virgil Farms and love our new puppy that we named Ranger. Garrett, who runs Virgil Farms was responsive and answered all of my questions about Ranger. It was clear Ranger had been well cared for and was in excellent health. He was practically potty trained to go outside when we brought him home. He was kenneled trained we think as he had no problems being kenneled at night or while we were gone. We would absolutely recommend Virgil Farms and will use them again as Ranger has been an incredible addition to our family .
